Status check: 9 October 2026. Round 4 continues through 11 October. Later-game availability remains subject to team announcements and final pre-tip checks.
Adelaide’s injury problems are not a one-round inconvenience. Flynn Cameron faces an estimated further four to six weeks out with his ankle injury, while Isaac Humphries is having his knee managed without surgery and has no firm return date.
The 36ers have added Corey Webster as Cameron’s injury replacement, and he played four minutes against Melbourne United on 7 October. That confirms his availability for that game — not a dependable SuperCoach role for Adelaide’s remaining fixtures.
Elsewhere, Chris Goulding and Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. remain reported absences, while Brandon Knight’s potential Perth debut needs a separate selection and workload check.
Adelaide: Cameron’s absence extends beyond Round 4
In the NBL’s 7 October injury report, Adelaide general manager of basketball operations Matt Weston estimated Cameron needed another four to six weeks to recover.
That is a recovery estimate, not a scheduled comeback. Weston described progress out of the boot and into basic shooting work, with the club assessing Cameron week by week. Those steps do not amount to clearance for competitive basketball.
SuperCoach implication: Cameron is not a short-term selection gamble. Managers carrying him need to assess whether their bench can absorb a multi-week absence rather than planning around an imminent return.
Humphries’ outlook is less precise. Weston said surgery was not required, but Adelaide was reducing his workload before attempting to build it back up. The report did not establish a firm return date.
Avoiding surgery is encouraging medical news; it is not evidence that Humphries is close to playing. For fantasy purposes, he remains an unavailable player with an uncertain recovery window.
Bul Kuol is also sidelined with an ACL injury, as identified in the same official report. There is no verified return date to build a Round 4 selection around. Adelaide’s absences were also identified in Fox Sports’ reporting on the Webster move.
Webster played — his ongoing role is still unproven
Adelaide’s pre-game update expected Webster to suit up against United. The ESPN box score confirms he played four minutes in Adelaide’s 96–91 defeat.
7 October status: available and played against Melbourne.
That distinction matters. Webster is no longer merely an anticipated arrival, but four minutes is not enough evidence to call him a reliable rotation option or recommend him as a SuperCoach purchase.
Adelaide visits Sydney on 11 October. His selection and minutes for that game still require checking. Our Webster signing breakdown covers the replacement move; the actionable update here is that his first appearance was brief.
Goulding, JLA and Knight: latest reported statuses
The FanCrew injury summary, attributing these entries to NBL updates dated 8 October, lists:
| Player | Latest reported status | SuperCoach approach |
|---|---|---|
| Chris Goulding, Melbourne United | Out with a calf injury; Round 5 listed as the return window | Do not budget for Round 4 points without an updated clearance. |
| Jo Lual-Acuil Jr., Perth Wildcats | Out with a calf injury; return to be confirmed | Do not turn an unspecified recovery window into a comeback prediction. |
| Brandon Knight, Perth Wildcats | Test; listed under travel, with a fitness test pending | Check selection and expected workload before committing. |
These are reported injury-list entries, not confirmed final selections. Knight’s entry is an availability flag rather than confirmation of a new injury.
9 October update: The West Australian reports that Perth expects Knight to debut against New Zealand on Saturday, with restricted minutes as he builds match fitness. That advances the earlier test designation, but does not establish an unrestricted fantasy workload.
It follows John Rillie’s 8 October comments that Saturday was the target, while stopping short of guaranteeing an appearance. Final team confirmation remains the decisive check.
The remaining Round 4 checks
Round 4 is still live. The remaining schedule includes Melbourne and Perth games on 10 October, followed by Adelaide’s trip to Sydney on 11 October.
Before acting, check the relevant team announcement, then separate available from likely to play useful minutes. Webster’s debut and Knight’s reported restrictions show why those are different questions.
For replacement candidates, use our Round 4 trade targets alongside this report — but do not treat a projected return window or a test designation as a confirmed selection.
