Alexandre Sarr
Washington Wizards
The story so far
Before Washington called his name with the second pick of the 2024 NBA Draft, Alexandre Sarr was protecting the rim for the Perth Wildcats. The French big man brought size, mobility and shot-blocking to the NBL Next Stars program, making Australia a stop on his way to the NBA.
Sarr’s Perth season showcased his rim protection and defensive mobility, pushing him into the top tier of NBA Draft prospects. When Washington selected him, his NBL Next Stars chapter became one of the program’s highest-profile NBA pathways.
Developed his game in the Australian NBL as part of the Next Stars program.
Selected second overall in the 2024 NBA Draft.
